CauseThe trial license.bea file packaged with the CT product has expired and needs to be renewed.
ResolutionFor RSA ClearTrust 5.0.1, follow these steps:

1. Back up your evaluation license file, license.bea, found in the BEA_HOME directory (e.g.  c:\bea in a Windows installation)

2. Locate the license_isv_base.bea file under the license directory in the WebLogic server CD provided by RSA Security with your CT 5.0.1 media. Then copy it to the BEA_HOME directory.

3. Rename the license_isv_base.bea file to license.bea

4. Back up the <WL_HOME>\server\lib\weblogic.jar file, where <WL_HOME> is the WebLogic server 7.0 installation directory (e.g.  c:\bea\weblogic700 in a Windows installation)

5. Locate the weblogic_isv_base.jar file under the license directory on the WebLogic server CD provided by RSA Security with your CT 5.0.1 media and copy it to <WL_HOME>\server\lib

6. Rename the weblogic_isv_base.jar file to weblogic.jar. If you do not have the CD, contact RSA Security Customer Support to obtain the RSA ClearTrust 5.0.1.112 hot fix which contains the updated weblogic.jar file.

7. Restart the WebLogic server

For RSA ClearTrust 5.5, follow these steps:

1. Back up your evaluation license file, license.bea, found in the BEA_HOME directory (e.g.  c:\bea in a Windows installation)

2. Locate the license_isv_base.bea file under the license directory in the WebLogic server CD provided by RSA Security with your CT 5.5 media. Then copy it to the BEA_HOME directory.

3. Rename the license_isv_base.bea file to license.bea

4. Back up the <WL_HOME>\server\lib\weblogic.jar file, where <WL_HOME> is the WebLogic server 7.0 installation directory (e.g.  c:\bea\weblogic700 in a Windows installation)

5. Locate the weblogic_isv_base.jar file under the license directory on the WebLogic server CD provided by RSA Security with your RSA ClearTrust 5.5 media and copy it into the <WL_HOME>\server\lib directory

6. Rename the weblogic_isv_base.jar file to weblogic.jar

7. Restart the WebLogic server
NotesThe license.bea file packaged is originally meant for use of the WebLogic server for deploying the RSA ClearTrust Entitlements Manager. A full production license can be purchased from BEA directly.
