IssueModifying Login Automation Scripts for SoftID
looking for keywords to modify Login Automation Scripts
ResolutionFrom SoftID Administrator's Guide:
If you edit Login Automation Program scripts, test your edited Login Automation Program scripts to ensure that they work correctly. Be sure to test your edited Login Automation Program scripts under the same circumstances in which they will be used. For example, install SoftID with the edited scripts on a computer, and verify that you can use SoftID to authenticate automatically from that computer to a remote site.
Before testing the edited Login Automation Program scripts, verify that:
- Your edited scripts continue to run to completion.
- The SoftID keywords remain in the appropriate places in the script.

The SoftID keywords (indicated by the #$ prefix and suffix) are:

#$PASSCODE#$
#$PASSCODE_NO_PIN#$
#$NEXT_PASSCODE#$
#$NEW_PIN#$
#$SERIAL_NUM#$
#$USER_NAME#$

If you use a script that dials a phone number, you must edit the dialing section of the script. For example, if the script says
transmit "atdt<yourhostphonenumberhere>"

you might edit it as follows:
transmit "atdt9,5551212"

Note:  To help debug the scripts you can also use a post connection terminal to manually enter the script commands, and observe the results one line at a time to determine any possible discrepancies.
