Issue | Error: ''unable to open sdserv.l" Error: "unable to open sdserv.lic" Errors appear in sdserv.lg and sdlog.lg but not in the Activity Report or on screen sdserv.lic remains unchanged at a size of 0 bytes The sdserv.lk file disappears when ACE/Server is shut down and is recreated on startup |
Cause | This problem can occur when the ACE/Server file ownership is configured for a user other than root, but when the services are started by root. Root may have enough file permissions to start brokers and authentication engine. |
Resolution | In all cases, ACE/Server processes should always be started by the root user, regardless of file ownerhip. |
