IssueError: "acserver-u32SDSrvGetRequest():error, errno = (2)" in Windows event log when running RSA ACE/Server 5.2
CauseThis error is seen in the Windows event log intermittently on an ACE/Server replica. The error can be generated when the server receives an incorrect authentication request packet (e.g. the packet is wrong, rather than simply typing the wrong PASSCODE).
ResolutionFully-qualified domain names (FQDN's) must be used for all servers in the system (this does not extend to names of agents). Check under Replica Management for the names of the servers, and also ensure that things like the local hosts files (if used) return FQDN values before short names. The following example shows an inappropriate entry:          myserver   myserver.acme.com

Change this line to read as follows:          myserver.acme.com myserver

After making this change, you should also modify the values in the Replica Management utility to reflect the FQDN values.

NOTE: In addition, do not supply the sdconf.rec file from the VAR_ACE directory to any client. Whenever an sdconf.rec file is to be put onto an ACE/Agent, ensure that you instead use the menu item in the ACE/Server administration to generate the config file. Although at first pass the files will appear to be the same, there can be subtle differences.
