Cause

This error was displayed whn trying to run the Synctool, for example:

# ./runSyncTool.sh

Enter password to connect weblogic :

Error occured during Weblogic Server: t3://localhost:7001, connection.
Please see the logs for details.

The problem occurs when the WebLogic server has been configured to use the WebLogic domain administration port has been enabled (the default value for this port is 9002).

Resolution

Two minor changes need to be made to allow the tool to run correctly in this environment.

1.    Alter a value in the ./properties/cleartrust_sync.properties file as follows:

                 weblogic.server.protocol=t3s

2.    When you run the synctool utility make sure you connect to the named server and administration port, for example:

# ./runSyncTool.sh
