  • When using the RSA Authentication Client (RAC), getting token set as a smartcard
  • A window with the message "Please insert your smart card" pops up when using rhe PointSec CertCreator tool
  • A window with the message "Please insert your smart card" pops up when running the command certutil -scinfo.
  • When I try to use any of the Microsoft certificate options, get the following errors:

8009001b
8009000a

CauseThis is a known issue with Pointsec. See the RSA SecurID SID800 Token thread on the Check Point community.
ResolutionCheck Point has acknowledged that their CertCreator tool is not yet compatible with RSA Smart Card Middleware 3.0.1. Please contact Check Point to know when this will be supported.
The "Please insert your smart card" window when running certutil -scinfo is functioning as designed and is in fact a Microsoft issue. You will get this window if the smart card (or SID800 token) connected is empty.
You can follow the solution on how to generate a self-signed certificate on the SID800 instead of using the PointSec CertCreator tool.
