IssueJavaScript errors appear in web browser when viewing ACL's
Error: "an unexpected JavaScript error has occurred on line __"
An ACL rule was created and used an apostrophe in the description field
CauseThe problem appears when you have created an ACL rule and used an apostrophe in the description field. When you try to view the ACL's under the System Configuration workbench, or when you try to search and display an ACL, both Netscape and MSIE returns "an unexpected JavaScript error has occurred on line __" and asks that you contact technical support if the problem persists.
ResolutionTo correct this issue, remove the apostrophe from the ACL rule's description field:

1. Go to https://<hostname>:443/ca/admin/listuclass.xuda and click on 'list' for xuda_acl

2. The next screen will list all your ACL objects. Choose the ACL(s) that contains the apostrophe and click on 'edit'

3. In the DN attribute field, remove the apostrophe first and click on 'Replace Object'

4. In the Description attribute field, remove the apostrophe and click on 'Replace Object'

5. Go back to Admin Console - System Config workbench and view ACL again. The browsers should not display any further JavaScript error message.
