Issue | Failure when accessing ClearTrust-protected resource using FQDN rather than IP address When authenticating to ClearTrust-protected resource, the URL entered utilizes the server's IP address rather than the fully-qualified domain name, and there is no redirection to the protected resource |
Cause | RSA ClearTrust uses HTTP cookies to store the logon and URL redirection information. ClearTrust restricts the creation of cookies to the domain specified in the webagent.conf file setting cleartrust.agent.cookie_domain. |
Resolution | To correct this issue, ensure that the cleartrust.agent.cookie_domain matches the domain that users will use to access the ClearTrust-protected Web server. See http://wp.netscape.com/newsref/std/cookie_spec.html in the ?domain=DOMAIN_NAME? section for more information on cookie domain name configuration. |
