IssueHow can RSA Software Token 3.x be utilized for authentication to both NCPass and RSA ACE/Server?
The unique key and token codes make using a RSA Software Token for authentication to both NCPass and RSA ACE/Server impossible; authentications to NCPass would fail. This would be the same for any application making use of ACE Nugget Code.
CauseIssuance of Software Tokens through RSA ACE/Server 5.x and higher generates a unique key and token codes specific to that issuance
ResolutionRSA Security has developed a hot fix for RSA ACE/Server 5.2 that will be incorporated into RSA ACE/Server 6.1. This hot fix has an additional feature in the UI for issuance of software tokens, "retain token information", which basically turns off the unique key feature. To get this hot fix, contact RSA Security Customer Support and reference defect tst42337.
