RSA Software Token 3.x
|Issue||How can RSA Software Token 3.x be utilized for authentication to both NCPass and RSA ACE/Server?|
The unique key and token codes make using a RSA Software Token for authentication to both NCPass and RSA ACE/Server impossible; authentications to NCPass would fail. This would be the same for any application making use of ACE Nugget Code.
|Cause||Issuance of Software Tokens through RSA ACE/Server 5.x and higher generates a unique key and token codes specific to that issuance|
|Resolution||RSA Security has developed a hot fix for RSA ACE/Server 5.2 that will be incorporated into RSA ACE/Server 6.1. This hot fix has an additional feature in the UI for issuance of software tokens, "retain token information", which basically turns off the unique key feature.
