If you do a B_SetKeyInfo with only KI_RSAPrivate information, you will not be able to use the private key for signing or decryption
IssueHow to use KI_RSAPrivate to extract private key information from a B_KEY_OBJ
Cannot find a KI_RSAPrivateBER
CausePrivate key operations are slow. In order to speed it up reasonably, some CRT (Chinese Remainder Theorem) information is required to be carried around with the private key information. The ASN.1 definition of the RSAPrivateKey in PKCS #1 has fields for the CRT information.
ResolutionThe RSA BSAFE Crypto-C 5.2 Library Reference Manual states that the use of KI_RSAPrivate is not recommended.

The proper KIs to use with the RSA Private keys are KI_PKCS_RSAPrivate and KI_PKCS_RSAPrivateBER.
