IssueHow to set up a Help Desk Administrator in RSA ClearTrust
Error: "Insufficient permission for modify entity  <userid>" appears to the Help Desk Administrator when modifying its own account
CauseThe RSA ClearTrust 5.0.1 Administrator Guide specifies that Help Desk Administrators must assign at least one other role. However, it does not mention which privileges to assign to this role. Assigning additional roles such as "Edit Passwords" is redundant for Help Desk Administrators, and may generate superfluous error messages.
ResolutionThe role that is going to be used by the Help Desk Administrator should not have any additional privileges set. By default, if you configure a ClearTrust Administrator as Help Desk Administrator, this user will be able to view all user accounts, edit passwords, and reset the Lock Out check box on the Edit User page, regardless of the administrative group.
