IssueHow to create a backup for crash recovery of a single server.
ResolutionTo Backup
1) Stop the ACE/Server services
2) Copy sdserv.* sdlog.* and license.rec from the ACEDATA directory to a backup medium.  If you are using TACACS+ on UNIX also save the sdtacplus.* files.
3) Start the ACE/Server services
( this may be automated in a script or batch file)

To Restore
1) Install the ACE/Server on the same OS as the old server was with the same name and IP address, alternatively use a ghost or similar image file to recreate your ACE/Server.
2) Copy the sdserv.* sdlog.* and license.rec from your backup into the ACEDATA directory. If you are using TACACS+ copy back the sdtacplus.* files.
3) Start the ACE/Server services
