IssueHow to fix the arrow keys to do administration by telnet?
In order to do administration using telnet from a Windows machine, if the arrow keys are not configured to  work with a VT 100 terminal, it is not possible to go through the administration menus.
ResolutionThe telnet session can be run from a Windows or UNIX machine:

To do telnet from a Windows machine:

1. On the Windows machine, click Start > run > telnet > Terminal >
   Preferences > Terminal Options > Check the box " VT100 Arrows" >
   Under Emulation check the button VT-100/ANSI > OK.

2. Start the telnet session.

To do telnet from a UNIX machine to UNIX server:

   1. No additional configuration is required.
   2. For complete functionality of a keyboard, terminal can be set to vt100.
       Edit the .profile in the user's home directory, and add the following lines:

        TERM=vt100
        export TERM
