|Issue||How to add a custom attribute to a certificate in RSA BSAFE|
Is there a way to add a custom attribute to a certificate so that it is displayed as DDD = "123"?
|Resolution||If you want any program to be able to display your "attribute" as a string, you can use one of the existing standard attribute types. If you define your own attribute type, there is no way for existing programs to display it as a string, since it is not a standard attribute.|
For example, some CAs use organizationalUnit to store custom information. So you wouldn't be able to have:
DDD = "123"
but you could have:
OU = "DDD = 123"
