|Applies To||RSA SecurID Passage 3.5.1 Client|
Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Machine is joined to a new domain after Passage installation
User attempts to add new domain logon account through Passage Control Center, Accounts tab. The drop-down menu displaying valid domains doesn't show the new domain. User is able to manually type in the domain name and successfully create the logon account for that domain.
|Issue||New domain added does not show in RSA SecurID Passage Client 3.5.1 Control Center drop-down menu|
|Cause||RSA Security currently uses a function in the Windows NetApi32.dll called NetEnumerateTrustedDomains to populate the Domain box. The new "Microsoft-recommended" way of doing this is LsaEnumerateTrustedDomains. However, for this to work, you must have administrator rights on the PC or perform the enumeration within a COM object that has admin rights. This is not technically feasible with the current product design.|
|Resolution||To successfully create the logon account for a domain, manually type in the domain name.|
