IssueHow to provide IIS basic authentication for resources not ClearTrust protected
You have a ClearTrust protected directory and have files within that are excluded from ClearTrust protection. However, for these excluded resources, you still want to have IIS basic authentication mechanism active.
ResolutionThese excluded files will have only the basic auth box checked within the file security window of the properties page from right-clicking the entry within the inetmgr utility.

To correct this issue, use RSA ClearTrust Agent 4.5 for Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) hot fix 4.5.0.11 available from RSA Security Customer Support. Ensure that the following parameters are set within the webagent.conf file:

cleartrust.agent.iis.suppress_basic_auth_for_unprotected=false

cleartrust.agent.iis.preproc_auth_enabled=false

cleartrust.agent.ignore_http_auth=true
