Resolution

This problem has been corrected in a hot fix for RSA SecurID Web Express 1.2. Contact RSA Security Customer Support and request the hot fix ID19353.

The hot fix consists of apidemon, and should be replaced in the ACE/Server's ace/utils/toolkit directory. Follow these steps to install:

1. Stop the RSA ACE/Server. WARNING: This will disconnect all users and may interrupt incomplete tasks.

  Windows:

  - Navigate to Start Menu --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Double click RSA ACE/Server

  - Click "Stop" and wait for the service to stop. When prompted, click "OK".

  UNIX:

  - Make sure you are logged in as root

  - Go to your RSA ACE/Server install directory (the default is /opt/ace/), then go to the 'prog' subdirectory.

  - Type './aceserver stop && ./sdconnect shutdown'

2. Copy the apidemon into your ACE/Server

  Windows:

  - Copy apidemon.exe to the ...\ace\utils\toolkit\ directory

  UNIX:

  - Copy apidemon to the .../ace/utils/toolkit/ directory

3. Start the RSA ACE/Server

  Windows:

  - Navigate to Start Menu --> Settings --> Control Panel --> Double click RSA ACE/Server

  - Click "Start" and wait for the service to stop

  UNIX:

  - Make sure you are logged in as root

  - Go to the RSA ACE/Server install directory (the default is /opt/ace/), then go to the 'prog' subdirectory

  - Type './sdconnect start && ./aceserver start'

Notice the ACE/Server log monitor for messages indicating the connection from the Web Express machine.
