Issue | RSA ClearTrust 5.5.2 Runtime Web Services API clearServerCaches directive |
Resolution | clearServerCaches Request Operation This is analogous to the RTAPI clearServerCaches operation, which clears all Authorization Server caches. If this instance of RSA ClearTrust Web Services is backed by an Authorization Server pool, the caches of all servers in the pool will be cleared. Generally, cache updating occurs automatically as follows: - When a piece of ClearTrust data is updated by an administrator, the Entitlements Server instructs all Authorization Servers to reload that piece of information. This is referred to as "selective cache poisoning" because the outdated piece of data is selected and destroyed. - Automatic cache refreshing. Data in the cache is valid for a specified period, after which the Authorization Server will reload it as needed. The default period is 5 minutes. |
