Issue
Policy regarding changes made to the operating environment on an appliance.
ResolutionRSA enVision tests and qualifies the performance, stability, and general usefulness of its appliance-based products based upon a pre-configured environment that ships in all production-level systems.  RSA enVision strongly discourages any fundamental changes to this base environment outside of operating system patches as delivered by Microsoft or RSA enVision directly.

Should a customer deem it necessary to change a core underlying configuration parameter (i.e., the RAID level, compression settings, registry entries, adding the appliance to a domain and being subject to Group Policies, etc.), RSA enVision will strive to support these changes to the best of its ability to do so - however, RSA enVision cannot be held responsible if changes negatively affect product stability or usability.

RSA enVision may be required to decline support of an appliance unless core O/S changes are rolled back to the default configuration.
