IssueNum lock is off when the RSA Authentication Agent logon appears at system start time.
When the system is restarted, the Num Lock key turns off at the time of GINA authentication logon. The Num Lock key was on prior to restarting and will come on after a successful GINA authentication. It is off at time of initial logon and this is not the desired behavior.
Cause Although this behavior was reportedly caused by the RSA Authentication Agent 6.x it is believed to be a Windows configuration issue.
  1. Open the registry editor on the machine with the authentication agent installed.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_USERS\Default\Control Panel\Keyboard.
  3. The value for InitialKeyboardIndicators will have a data type of REG_SZ.
  4. Set the string value to the number 2.
  5. Restart the machine.  Upon restart, the Num Lock key will be available at time of GINA logon.
