IssueRestarting the Tacacs+ daemon to re-read the sdtacplus.cfg file without restarting the ACE/Server
After making changes to the sdtacplus.cfg file (i.e. adding users), the file must be re-read so that the changes will be known to the Tacacs+ Server.  This needs to be done without restarting the ACE/Server.
ResolutionThe sdtacplus daemon can be restarted in the following manner (see page 116 in the ACE/Server 4.1 Installation Guide for UNIX).  This will re-read the sdtacplus.cfg file.

kill -USR1 [pid]
where [pid] is the process id of _sdtacplusd
