ResolutionThis issue is resolved in a hot fix for RSA ACE/Server 5.2. Contact RSA Security Customer Support to obtain hot fix tst00042876. Follow the instructions below for proper installation.

PURPOSE

This hot fix corrects several error messages, so that they appear in the proper language.


PREREQUISITES
============================================================
To install this fix, your system must satisfy the following prerequisites:

- RSA ACE/Agent for Microsoft Windows must be installed


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
============================================================
There are a couple ways to install the fix. The one that works for you will depend on your particular system.

Installation Method One
-----------------------

1. Browse to the ACE/Agent installation directory. The default location is:

    c:\Program Files\RSA Security\RSA Authentication Agent\

2. Rename sdagentuisvc.exe to sdagentuisvc.old. If you are unable to rename this file, use installation method two.

3. Copy sdagentuisvc.exe from the fix package to the ACE/Agent installation directory

4. Restart your system

Installation Method Two
-----------------------

If the first method of installing the fix does not work, you may attempt to install it with the instructions described in this section.  These instructions require you to download Microsoft. RSA Security does not support this software. If you have problems with it, you will need to contact Microsoft. Proceed at your own risk.

1. Open your web browser and load http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/tools/existing/inuse-o.asp

2. Follow Microsoft's instructions to fully install the InUse executable. Be sure to record where you install inuse.exe.

3. From the command line interface, run the following command:

    <inuse_install_dir>/inuse.exe <fixed sdagentuisvc.exe> %WINDIR%/system32/sdagentuisvc.exe

4. Restart your system
