IssueHow to use double-byte or multi-byte usernames with TCL-SD in RSA Authentication Manager
Garbled Kanja characters appears in the Firstname and Lastname fields after using a custom application to add users in RSA Authentication Manager
CauseThis problem is caused by any application which makes use of tcl-sd.exe (programs using the C interface are not affected). Not all characters get garbled so in small tests this issue may not be noticed but as soon as you get to around 10 real names you will get enough sample characters to see that some are misread into RSA Authentication Manager.
ResolutionThis issue has been resolved in a hot fix for RSA Authentication Manager 6.0. Contact RSA Security Customer Support to request the hot fix for ID16014. This hot fix is a replacement copy of tcl-sd.exe which should be placed in the <INSTALLDIR>/utils/tcl/bin/ directory after backing up the existing program.
