IssueHow to configure ClearTrust integration with SAP Enterprise Portal Server
The RSA integration document for SAP Enterprise Portal Server located at http://rsasecurity.agora.com/rsasecured/results.asp?product_program=110&page=3, page 8, specifies that the integration can be configured with IIS Web servers with RSA ClearTrust Agent 4.5. This scope can be expanded to a wider selection of RSA ClearTrust Agents and Web server technologies.
The integration is header-based, and relies on ClearTrust Agents. The solution summary from the Integration Guide states the following:
"To achieve Single Sign-On with the SAP Enterprise Portal Server 6.0 SP9 (part of SAP NetWeaver ?04), the RSA ClearTrust Web Agent 4.6 for Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) is installed on the SAP Portal Server. The RSA ClearTrust Agent is then configured to protect all portal-related pages. SAP Enterprise Portal establishes the identity of the user by parsing the HTTP Headers and using the "ct-remote-user" variable to serve personalized content. SAP EP6 can also support User Management by sharing an LDAP Directory Server that is supported by both SAP Portal and RSA ClearTrust."
ResolutionUse any Agent that is supported on your platform, and integrate it with the corresponding Web server software. Configure the application to utilize the "ct-remote-user" variable.
