CVE IDCVE-2016-0899
Article SummaryIIS allows a user to configure MIME type to allow the download of a .bak file. This has caused us to rethink the approach and add ".config" to the end of the backup file name. IIS has restricted the access to serve and download .config files, so this will ensure that an end user who doesn't know what they are doing to not serve potentially sensitive data.
Old file name example: web.config.20151102112620_aftermigrate.bak
Suggested new file name example: web.config.20151102112620_aftermigrate.bak.config
