|Issue||An administrator is setting up the SMS delivery method for On-Demand Authentication (ODA) and has noticed that the SMS configuration only allows for one country code.|
|Resolution||RSA fixed an issue where the pre-populated country code interferes with the SMS messages transmission for On-Demand Authentication in cases where the country code is already present in a user's telephone number (ref#AM-29646). This fixed was included in RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 Service Pack 1 Patch 11 and as patches are accumulative the same fix is also present in the latest RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 Service Pack 1 Patch 15 software update.|
NOTE: installation instructions for software updates are available in the release notes
Administrators need to ensure the mobile number is set where the country code is present in the telephone number. For example; in Microsoft Active Directory the mobile object would be populated with the international telephone number e.g +610411123123.
The mobile object is mapped from the identity source automatically to an Identity Attribute called 'Mobile Number' in the authentication manager database. The mobile number can be viewed in the Security Console > enter the last name (by default) in the User Dashboard Quick Search > under User Profile click Edit User and scroll down to Attributes section..
When setting up the On-Demand Authentication the country code included in the international mobile number mapped from the identity source is shown and used correctly. In the Security Console > enter the last name (by default) in the User Dashboard Quick Search and select the appropriate user > under On-Demand Authentication (ODA) click Manage > check Enable user for on-demand authentication (where it is not already configured)
Looking at the SecurID Tokens assigned to the user it is possible to send a test text message to the user's mobile number to check the SMS configuration is working correctly. In the Security Console > Identity > Users > Manage Existing > select the Search Criteria to display User IDs > left-click User ID and select SecurID Tokens > click Send a test text message
..click Send Test Text Message button
