IssueThere are various reasons you may need to cycle the services on the Security Analytics Warehouse (MapR) nodes in your VRM environment.  Some examples:
1.  Workflows are not running
2.  Various Alarms are being reported
3.  Etc...
 
CauseIt varies.
WorkaroundRestart MapR (Hadoop) Services
Stop services in this order first
1. On each node, run
a. service rsa-vrm-web1 stop
2. On each node, run
a. service mapr-warden stop
3. On each node, run
a. service mapr-zookeeper stop
 
Start services on each node in reverse order:
1. On each node, run
a. service mapr-zookeeper start
b. can use zkcli to check all zk nodes are responding properly.
2.  On each node, run
a. service mapr-warden start
b. can use jps to check all mapr / Hadoop services are starting up
3. On each node, run
a. service rsa-vrm-web1 start
