This topic introduces the options in Hosts panel toolbar for discovering, adding, editing, removing, and repurposing hosts.
The Hosts panel toolbar has options for discovering, adding, editing, removing, and repurposing hosts.
To access the Hosts view, in the Security Analytics menu, select Administration > Hosts. The Hosts panel toolbar is at the top of the Hosts grid in the Hosts view.
The following table describes the features of the Hosts panel toolbar.
|Adds a host to RSA Security Analytics to manage (see Step 1: Add or Update a Host). Opens the Add Host dialog. See below for more information.|
|Displays the following options: |
|Edits host or service identification and basic communication settings (see Step 1: Add or Update a Host).|
|Displays options for checking and updating the software version of an application (see Host Updates Menu).|

|Most of the time, the Discover function completes automatically and it is not necessary to click the Discover button. For a new installation, you click the Discover button to access the Provision dialog box to go through the provisioning process. After the provisioning phase, the discovery of services running on the host happens automatically and it is not necessary to click this button.|
|Filters hosts by Name or Host.|
Add Host Dialog
The following table describes the fields in the Add Host dialog.
|Name||The name that you want to give the host.|
|Hostname||The actual name or IP address of the host.|
