IssueRequest is for an offline website to appear when taking down Archer servers for an upgrade.
ResolutionTake advantage of a little known IIS feature, starting with ASP.NET 2.0, by placing a file with the following named app_offline.htm in the physical path location of the website specified in IIS.
  1. Create a file named app_offline.htm using Notepad or other text editor.
  2. Add custom message with information about the outage, change control, completion time, point-of-contact, etc.
  3. Save changes to file.
  4. Right-click the Archer site in IIS and select Explore.  This will open Windows Explorer to the virtual directory.
  5. Place the app_offline.htm file in this location and all requests will be redirected there.
  6. Once the upgrade or outage is complete, rename or delete the app_offline.htm file.
The following is a simple example of the app_offline.htm file with a Base64 image:
  <body style="font-size: xx-large; font-family: Arial; text-align: center">
      <p>The Archer web site is under maintenance.</p>
