This topic introduces the features of the Profile view > Notifications panel.

Examples of system notifications include:

  • A host upgrade completed.
  • A parser push to decoders completed.
  • A service went down (critical log of a certain type).
  • A visualization completed.
  • A report completed.

When you are viewing system notifications in the Notifications Tray (For more information, see Notifications Tray topic in Security Analytics User Interface guide) only recent system notifications are displayed. You can view all Security Analytics system notifications in the Profile view > Notifications panel.

To access this panel:

  1. In the Security Analytics menu, select Profile.
  2. In the options panel of the Profile view, select Notifications.

Another way to access this view is:

  1. In the Security Analytics toolbar, click ic-notif.png.
    The Notifications Tray is displayed.
  2. Click View All.



The Profile view > Notifications panel has a toolbar and a grid.

The following table describes the Profile view > Notifications panel features.

Delete iconDisplays a drop-down menu where you can delete the selected notification records or all the notification records in the Profile view > Notifications grid and in the Notifications Tray.
TitleThe title of the notification, for example, File Extraction Complete.
MessageThe entire message, for example, The file extraction is complete and ready for download.
ViewLink.pngSome messages include a link that displays a view where you can take action. For example, if there is a file to download, clicking this link opens a the Jobs panel, the view where you can download the file.
CreatedThe date and time the notification was created.
In the Notifications Tray, this column is the number of days since the notification was created.
