Issue
This article provides instructions on how to complete the following tasks as they relate to the RSA SecurID Software Token imported on an Android device:

  1. Extract the token serial number,
  2. Rename a software token,
  3. Swap between two or more software tokens, and
  4. Delete a software token.
ResolutionAfter an RSA SecurID Software Token is imported to an Android mobile device, the app would look like the image below.  By default, the first imported token would be the Active token, as shown here:

Extract the token serial number for an imported software token


To extract the token serial number, follow the steps below:
  1. Launch the RSA SecurID Software Token for Android app. 
  2. Tap and hold the token whose serial number is to be extracted.
  3. Select Token Information from the pop up menu as shown here:

  1. The resulting screen presents the token serial number, expiration date and the device binding ID, as shown below:

Rename an imported RSA SecurID Software Token


To rename a software token that is already imported, follow the steps below:
  1. Launch the RSA Software Token Application on the Android device.
  2. Tap and hold the token that is to be renamed.
  3. Select Rename Token from the pop up menu as shown here:

  1. Rename the token and click OK as shown below:

Swapping between two imported RSA SecurID Software Tokens


If the RSA SecurID Software Token app has more than one token imported, the interface would look like this when launched.  As mentioned, Token 1 will be active by default.

To switch Token2 to become the active token,

  1. Tap on Token2.
  2. Token2 becomes the active token, as shown here:

Deleting an imported RSA SecurID Software Token


  1. Launch the RSA SecurID Software Token for Android app.
  2. Tap and hold the token that is to be deleted.
  3. Select Delete Token from the pop up menu as in the image below.
  4. Click OK to confirm the token deletion.
