ResolutionThe Web Application component requires the Configuration service, which is installed with Services. The Services include Cache, Configuration, LDAP Synchronization, Job Engine, and Queuing. In a multi-host configuration, the web application server should only run the Configuration service.
Although not recommended, the Web Application can be installed by itself. If you install Web Application separately, you must provide valid location to the Configuration service.

  1. Restart the RSA Archer Configuration Service at the server specified (ex: ServicesServer).
  2. Go back to the previous step in the installer and specify the exact X.509 certificate that was used to install the Configuration Service on the server specified.
  3. Valid the Service Server and ensure the port is listening with the correct firewall configuration (If firewall is enabled).
Follow the "Port Usage" section of the RSA Archer Platform Security Configuration Guide and open ports as required to the destination configuration service.   The guide is available on the Archer Community ( https://community.rsa.com/docs/DOC-35091

  1. Address any DNS, Network connectivity, or Firewall issues that prevent the server specified from being reachable by a "ping" command in a command prompt.
  2. Proceed with installation.
NotesFor full details of installing the Web Role Installation, please refer to Chapter 6 of installation guide: Web Role Installation and refer to section - Installing the Web Application Component.
