This topic tells you how to maintain SNMP v3 users required to set up SNMP trap Event Sources.

After completing this procedure, you will have:

  • Added an SNMP v3 user
  • Edited an SNMP v3 user.

Procedures

Add an SNMP User

  1. In the Security Analytics menu, select Administration > Services.
  2. In the Services grid, select a Log Collector service.
  3. Click AdvcdExpandBtn.PNGunder Actions and select View > Config >.
  4. In the Event Sources tab, select SNMP/SNMP v3 User Manager from the drop-down menu.
    The SNMP v3 Users panel is displayed.
  5. Click Icon-Add.png.
    The Add SNMP User dialog is displayed.
  6. Complete the dialog and click Save.

Edit an SNMP User

  1. In the Security Analytics menu, select Administration > Services.
  2. In the Services grid, select a Log Collector service.
  3. Click AdvcdExpandBtn.PNG under Actions and select View > Config >.
  4. In the Event Sources tab, select SNMP/SNMP v3 User Manager from the drop-down menu.
    The existing SNMP v3 users are displayed.
  5. Select an SNMP v3 User.
  6. Click icon-edit.png.
    The Edit SNMP dialog is displayed.
  7. Modify the parameters that require changes and click Save.
