Summary:

RSA announces the deployment of Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 in the production environment.

New in this Version

RSA Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 includes the following new features and enhancements.

Eco System

The Eco System is part of a phased approach designed to enhance fraud detection by using data elements from different sources. The RSA Risk Engine can now consume data elements that are not predefined by RSA and use them for risk assessment.

RSA Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 introduces the first phase of this approach in which the RSA Risk Engine uses 3rd party facts from the web and/or mobile channel, in addition to RSA’s predefined facts, to calculate a risk score.

The RSA Risk Engine is both dynamic and self-learning, allowing it to consume different types of data that may positively impact fraud detection. For more information, see the Back Office User’s guide in the Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 documentation set.

Performance improvements

RSA has improved product infrastructure to enable higher availability and better response times.

Custom Facts Enhancement

RSA has increased the number of custom facts that you can send per SOAP API request to 40.

Upgrade Information

Upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11.x to 12.2

Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 and Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11.x are hosted in different environments which are maintained in parallel, allowing for a gradual upgrade to Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2. Unlike in previous upgrades, the upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Hosted) 11.x to Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 will not be implemented automatically for all Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) customers. For information about the upgrade, see the RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.2 Upgrade Guide in the Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 documentation set.

To arrange for the upgrade, contact an RSA account representative.

Upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1 to 12.2

The upgrade from Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1 to Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2 will be implemented automatically for all Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.0.1 customers. To benefit from the new features available in Adaptive Authentication (Cloud) 12.2, customers will need to implement certain procedures as detailed in the RSA Adaptive Authentication 12.2 Integration Guide.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Availability

The UAT environment is available from November 13, 2016.

For more information, contact an RSA account representative.

Production Availability

The production environment is available from December 4, 2016.
