IssueA new BIOS and RMM firmware are available for the DPM Intel appliance.
You will first need to apply the BIOS 2.04 update, followed by the BMC 1.23 update. If you have applied the BMC 1.23 update without updating the BIOS you will have to re-apply the BMC 1.23 firmware once you upgrade the BIOS package.

Step 1 - Apply the BIOS 2.04 firmware

To install the BIOS 2.04 package update, download the zip file from this link:

  1. Unzip the contents of the update package and copy all files to a folder on a USB flash drive
  2. Insert the USB flash drive to any available USB port on the server system to be updated
  3. Boot the Server to the EFI shell.  This can be accessed via the <F2> BIOS setup utility during POST.
  4. Run the command "map -r" in the EFI shell to mount a USB flash drive  formatted to use the FAT32 file system
  5. Run the command "fs0:" to change folders to the USB flash drive. The USB flash drive may also mount to fs1: depending on  other installed devices. The number of "fs#" is dependent on the result of command "map -r"
  6. Change folders to the folder storing the update package files
  7. Run the command "Startup.nsh" to start updating all the firmware and BIOS updates

Step 2 - Apply the BMC 1.23 firmware

To install the BMC 1.23 firmware, download the zip file from this link:

  1. Extract the zip file to a USB drive
  2. Reboot the appliance and press F6 during POST to get into the boot menu
  3. Select "Internal EFI" shell in the boot menu and press ENTER
  4. At the <Shell> prompt, type "map" to list the mapped devices. Most likely the USB device will be fs0
  5. Select fs0 by typing "fs0:". Now type "ls" to list the directory contents
  6. To start the update, type "fwUpdateBMC.nsh" The update process will take about 5 minutes
  7. Once the update has completed, remove the USB stick and reboot the appliance
