|Applies To||RSA Product Set: Archer|
RSA Product/Service Type: Archer
RSA Version/Condition: 5.5.1
|Issue||A questionnaire campaign which has been scheduled for a specific day/time is creating duplicate records at the specified time.|
When a campaign is saved, the existing scheduled job will be replaced with a new scheduled job. In some rare circumstances, on versions of Archer prior to 5.5 SP3 P1, an error may occur and the campaign may create a new scheduled job without removing the existing scheduled job.
The end result is that there are now two scheduled jobs for the campaign that run at the specified day/time.
When each of the two scheduled jobs run, they will each individually create a new scheduled for the next scheduled interval to replace themselves when they are completed.
If the campaign is resaved, it will only replace one of the scheduled jobs and not both.
The result is that every time the campaign is run, it will create duplicate records.
|Resolution||The issue has been resolved with new campaigns created in Archer version 5.5 SP3 P1 and later.|
However, campaigns that have created duplicate scheduled jobs by being improperly saved in a previous version of Archer will need to have these campaigns replaced.
1. Create a database backup to be able to revert changes if needed.
2. Upgrade to Archer version 5.5 SP3 Patch 1 or later
3. Note the exact configuration of the existing campaign
4. Create a new campaign and configure it the same as the campaign that has the issue.
5. Delete the original campaign.
