IssueNeed to re-display the RSA NetWitness Endpoint Computer ID (CID).
ResolutionDuring the initial install of the RSA NetWitness Endpoint software, when a license file is not provided the unique RSA NetWitness Endpoint Computer ID (CID) value is displayed.
Sometimes during situations with license issues, or when a license change is needed, a re-display of the CID value is required.
1. If the RSA ECAT Server service is running on the Primary ECAT Server then run, the ECATUI.exe program.
Select About
Look for the LicenseComputerID value which will be the CID value.

2. If you are unable to run the ECATUI.exe program.
From a command prompt, on the Primary ECAT Server, change to the ECAT Server directory.
Default directory:
ECAT 4.1.x = C:\ECAT\Server\
ECAT 4.2.x = C:\Program Files\RSA\ECAT\Server\
ConsoleServer.exe /cid

Click “I Agree” for the License Agreement screen, and then the ComputerID will be displayed.

You can copy and paste the Computer ID value displayed.
Exit to exit the program.
This makes no affect on any existing license file, or running services, it only displays the CID value.
