|Issue||RSA customers may want to know if the same Device ID in the system as seen in the backOffice (Customer Support Portal) is always the same device actually used? Is there a way that it could represent more than one device?|
|Resolution||It should be extremely low probability that a single DeviceID would represent more than one device. |
The DeviceID is a tokenized version of the Device Fingerprint which is gathered from multiple points of data, some of which are located on the phone, computer, the network, browser information. You should consider this unique.
If the customer wants to investigate any particular instance then they would need to create a Customer Support Case and provide an example transaction, for user, FI, time and date.
