NOTE:  This article does not apply to RSA employees. Employees should engage the RSA Link team for assistance with authentication issues.
IssueRSA Link user cannot remember his or her password and is therefore unable to log in.
Attempting to log in to RSA Link generates the error message below.
Authentication Error
Your logon information is incorrect. Correct your logon information and try again, or contact the help desk or your administrator.

ResolutionFollow the instructions below to reset your RSA Link password.
  1. Navigate to the RSA Link home page (https://community.rsa.com) and click on the Log In button.

  2. On the login page, click on the Forgot Password hyperlink.

  3. Type in the email address associated with your account and click on the CONTINUE button.

  4. You will then be presented with a confirmation message instructing you to check your email.

  5. Locate the email (which will be from SelfServiceRSA@rsa.com and will have "RSA Forgotten Password" as the subject) and copy the temporary password.

  6. Return to the RSA Link home page and click on one of the Log In buttons again.  (Shown in Step 1)
  7. Log in using the temporary password.
  8. You will then be prompted to create a new password, after which you will be logged in successfully to RSA Link.

NotesThe Reset Password page can also be access by navigating to the RSA Registration Portal (https://community.rsa.com/register) and clicking on the green Forgot your password? text next to the Email field.

If you also wish to reset your On-Demand Authentication (ODA) PIN, you may do so by logging in to the RSA Self-Service Console.
If you need your Security Questions to be cleared in order to configure them again, please submit a request to RSA Customer Support.
