Uninstall a License

You might need to uninstall a license that no longer applies. In most cases, you can upgrade a current license or install a stackable license without removing the existing licenses in your RSA Authentication Manager deployment. Evaluation licenses are automatically deleted when you upgrade to the RSA SecurID Access Base Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Premium Edition.

Note:  If you uninstall every license, you must install at least one valid license before you log out of RSA Authentication Manager or restart the appliance.

Before you begin 

You must be a Super Admin.


  1. In the Security Console, click Setup > Licenses > Status.

  2. Click View Installed Licenses.

  3. Click the License ID of the license that you want to uninstall, and click Uninstall.

  4. On the Uninstall License Confirmation screen, click Yes, uninstall the license.

  5. Click Uninstall License.

  6. You must replace the license before logging out of RSA Authentication Manager or restarting the appliance. For instructions, see Install a License.
