Alternate IP addresses are used, for example, if the agent has more than one network interface card, or is located behind a static network address translation (NAT) firewall. Your agent may require an alternate IP address to be configured. To add an alternate agent IP address, you must edit the agent.

Procedure

  1. In the Security Console, click Access > Authentication Agents > Manage Existing.

  2. Click the Restricted or Unrestricted tab, depending on whether the agent that you want to search for is restricted or unrestricted.

  3. Use the search fields to find the agent to which you want to add an alternate IP address. Some search fields are case sensitive.

  4. From the search results, click the agent to which you want to add an alternate IP address.

  5. From the context menu, click Edit.

  6. In the Alternate IP Address field, enter alternate IP addresses for the agent.

  7. Click Add.

  8. Click Save.
