Reporting: Import Report Dialog

This topic describes the features of the Build Report view. In this dialog, you can import groups containing subgroups and reports from other instances of Security Analytics into Report Groups panel. Reports must be in a valid binary file that was exported from another Security Analytics instance.

Procedures related to this dialog are described in Import Reports and Report Groups.

To access the dialog:

  1. In the Security Analytics menu, click Administration Reports
    The Manage tab is displayed.
  2. Click Reports.
    The Report view is displayed. 
  3. In the Report Groups panel, select a folder to import the file.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • In the Report Groups panel, click  list_options_button.png > Import to import a group.
    • In the Report toolbar, click list_options_button.png > Import to import a report.

The following figure is an example of the Import Report dialog.

BrowseThis option displays a view of the local file system so that you can select the report to be imported.
DeleteThis option deletes an imported report from the list of imported reports.
File NameDisplays a list of report files that will be imported to your Reports module when you click Import.
Overwrite?Allows you to select the option to overwrite an existing version of the report you are importing. If you do not select the Overwrite option, a duplicate file is imported and no error message is displayed.
CloseThis option closes the dialog. If you have reports select for import, but have not clicked Import. The reports are  not imported, and are not saved in this dialog. 
ImportThis option imports the selected reports to your Reports module.
