|Applies To||RSA Product Set: BSAFE|
RSA Product/Service Type: Cert-J
RSA Version/Condition: 6.x
|Issue||What is the default cryptographic algorithm for digital signatures, in RSA BSAFE Cert-J?|
|Resolution||In all the different methods that can be called to sign a certificate, certificate request or create a signature, the cryptographic algorithm to use for the signature must be explicitly set in some way. There is no default signature algorithm in RSA BSAFE Cert-J.|
Refer the sample code provided in the product package, in folder certj\sample, for Signature Generation and Verification, and Certificate Creation and Processing. These samples are also in the Development Guide, available in the product's certj\doc\DevGuide directory. Go to Welcome to the Cert-J Toolkit > CertJ Samples in that document.
The samples and documentation for your Cert-J version are also available on RSA Link's RSA BSAFE Cert-J page.
