Issue | Workflows under the Admin > Workflow > Jobs tab show in an error state with the following error message:
Workflow flagged as stalled based on stall detection settings
 |
Cause | This error is seen when an activity node in a processing workflow has exceeded a pre-defined time threshold. Once that time has been exceeded, the workflow goes into this error state. |
Resolution | NOTE: Please upgrade to a supported version of RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle. RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle 6.9.1 and 7.0 are at End of Product Support. (EOPS).
Consider increasing the Max Time defined under Stalled Workflow Detection Settings. In the RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle user interface, navigate to Admin > Workflow > Settings tab and click on Edit to increase the Max Time. By default the Max Time will be set to 20 minutes. This value may be modified depending on the workload on the system.

Workaround | To get an existing stalled workflow to finish processing, open the stalled workflow screen and click on Poke Stalled Workflow. Poking the stalled workflow will evaluate and resume the process. Check the state of the workflow after you have poked it.
