IssueCustomer reported that GET_USER_CREDENTIAL is returning a response like

<ws:actionTypeList>
<ws:genericActionTypes>GET_USER_CREDENTIAL</ws:genericActionTypes>
</ws:actionTypeList>

<ns1:credential>
<ns1:credentialStatus>ACTIVE</ns1:credentialStatus>
<ns1:credentialType>USER_DEFINED</ns1:credentialType>
</ns1:credential>

Question: Is there any way we can change the “credentialType” field for the OTP credential to display something more descriptive like “OOBSMS” – something other than “USER_DEFINED”.

ResolutionCustomer can use the GET_USER_CREDENTIAL_EXTENDED instead of GET_USER_CREDENTIAL which will give the complete detail of the user’s credentials as below.

<ws:actionTypeList>
<ws:genericActionTypes>GET_USER_CREDENTIAL_EXTENDED</ws:genericActionTypes>
</ws:actionTypeList>

<ns1:credential>
<ns1:credentialStatus>ACTIVE</ns1:credentialStatus>
<ns1:credentialType>USER_DEFINED</ns1:credentialType>
<ns1:genericCredentialType>OOBSMS</ns1:genericCredentialType>
</ns1:credential>
