RSA Product/Service Type: Security Analytics Server
RSA Version/Condition: 10.6.4
Platform: CentOS
O/S Version: EL6
IssueAfter uploading the 10.6.x upgrade files to the RSA Security Analytics server while attempting to upgrade a server, the intended upgrade version is not displayed in the Select Version list on the Hosts screen.
ResolutionPerform the steps below to resolve the issue.
  1. Connect to the RSA Security Analytics server via SSH as the root user.
  2. Clean up the directory that contains the updates with the command below.

    rm -rf /var/netwitness/srv/www/rsa/updates/*

    This will remove everything in the updates folder.

  3. Clean up the repository from within the mongo database.

    #mongo puppet
    > Show collections
    system.indexes  564.00B (uncompressed), 32.00KB (compressed)
    nodes   3.09KB (uncompressed),  72.00KB (compressed)
    repos   2.73KB (uncompressed),  32.00KB (compressed)
    host_manifest   277.00B (uncompressed), 32.00KB (compressed)
    appliance_update        0.00B (uncompressed),   32.00KB (compressed)
    >db.appliance_update.drop()
    >db.repos.drop()
    >db.host_manifest.drop()

  4. After these steps have been completed you can load the zip files into the system.
     Manual update page

Once the zip files have been loaded you can move them to the repository, after which you will notice that the /var/netwitness/srv/www/rsa/updates directory will have the version that was just uploaded.

Refreshing the web browser will reveal that you are now able to upgrade to the version specified in the update.
