With this release, RSA provides new enhancements and fixes to issues reported on RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.x previously released versions. This release also extends the supported platforms available.

What's New in This Release:

Mandatory Hashing of Log Data Before Upload to RSA Central

In Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) version 7.3 P4, the ID Masking parameter is removed from the Administration Console.

The ID Masking parameter allows customers to choose whether to hash personally identifiable information in the log file before the information is uploaded to RSA Central. From version 7.3 P4, the system will, by default, hash personally identifiable information in the log files before the upload to RSA Central.

In the context of GDPR, the customer is the data controller and as such, is responsible for remediating to comply with its obligation as data controller. As the data processor, RSA is suggesting what the customer needs to do to mitigate its risks under GDPR. By failing to remediate, the customer] assumes the risks of non compliance. The decision whether to comply or not to comply is the customer's and the customer accordingly assumes the risks that follows its decision.

Customers that continue to use previous Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) versions (prior to 7.3 P4) should configure their system to hash personally identifiable information in the log file before the information is uploaded to RSA Central, using the ID Masking parameter in the Administration Console.

New Clean-Up Tool Utility

The new Clean-Up Tool can delete a defined set of records in the RE_PROFILE_FACTS table, and can run at the same time as online transactions. The tool can be used either to delete all the records older than a defined age, or a pre-configured batch of records, depending on the Clean-Up Tool configuration defined in the properties file.

Transaction Signing Customized Events

RSA Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) 7.3 P4 enables customers to create a custom-defined event for Transaction Signing.

Increased Custom Facts

In RSA Adaptive Authentication, you can now add up to 40 different custom facts per SOAP API request

To use Adaptive Authentication Push Notifications, powered by Microsoft Azure Push notification service, for an optional authentication method, such as one-time-password, biometric and transaction signing, customers must use Mobile SDK Authentication Module version 3.10 or later and Adaptive Authentication (On-Premise) version 7.3 P4 or later.
