RSA announces that it is extending its "First Year Extended Support" maintenance offering for some of its RSA BSAFE products, including Crypto-C Micro-Edition, Micro-Edition Suite, Crypto-J, SSL-J and Cert-J.
RSA also announces that it has no plans to stop development of BSAFE products for use in RSA, Dell EMC, or any of the Dell Technologies products.
RSA is announcing that it is extending its "First Year Extended Support", as defined on the Product Version Life Cycle page, until January 31st, 2022. This support extension is only available for the following product versions, which must be kept up to date by using the most recent patch release:
- RSA BSAFE Crypto-C Micro-Edition 4.1.x and higher
- RSA BSAFE Micro-Edition Suite 4.1.x and higher
- RSA BSAFE Crypto-J 6.2.x and higher
- RSA BSAFE SSL-J 6.2.x and higher
- RSA BSAFE Cert-J 6.2.x and higher
RSA is aware that many RSA, Dell EMC, and Dell Technologies products are using BSAFE products for cryptography. While RSA is not selling BSAFE anymore, we are continuing development of our cryptographic libraries for use in the RSA, Dell EMC and Dell Technologies product portfolios to ensure strong, FIPS-validated cryptography.
For additional documentation, downloads, and more, visit the RSA BSAFE page on RSA Link.
For customers who have not migrated to an alternate FIPS-approved cryptographic library, RSA recommends a BSAFE update to the most recent version available, in order to benefit from this support extension.
For RSA, Dell EMC or Dell Technologies products using BSAFE, ensure you keep your BSAFE product versions up-to-date.

RSA has a defined End of Primary Support policy associated with all major versions. Please refer to the Product Version Life Cycle for additional details.
