Product Description: AAOP on Websphere
IssueCustomer changed RSA_BO, RSA_CORE and RSA_CM passwords in the Database and need to update the JDBC connection in Websphere for the AA applications to continue connecting successfully and work as expected.

To change the JDBC connection user's password, follow these steps:
1.       Make sure Websphere and database engine are running.

2.       Open Websphere Admin console

3.       Open the section:

Security > Global security > Java Authentication and Authorization Service > J2C Authentication Data

4.       Edit the resources that were changed, one at a time:

5.       Repeat for all passwords that were changed.

6.       Save the configuration

7.       Restart the server


  • Test the change in a lower environment before attempting any configuration change in a production environment.
  • Test the JDBC data sources  to make sure the change took effect:
