IssueThe Super Admin Restoration utility used to create a temporary super admin account that allows access to the Security Console resets the Security Console authentication policy to LDAP_Password/RSA Password. Depending on authentication methods used before using the Super Admin Restoration utility, this value may need to be reset.
ResolutionReview the procedure for configuring Security Console authentication methods.
The Restore the Super Admin procedure begins on page 166 of the RSA Authentication Manager 8.3 Administrator's Guide.  On page 167 is the following information:

The Super Admin Restoration utility also resets the Security Console authentication policy to LDAP_ Password/RSA Password. In order for this change to take effect, use the Operations Console to flush the cache. For instructions, see Flush the Cache on page 123.

An administrator would need to change the authentication methods back to the desired configuration after using the Restore the Super Admin procedure.  From the Security Console,

  1. Navigate to Setup > System Settings.
  2. Under Console & Session Settings, click Security Console Authentication Methods.
  3. In the Console Authentication field, enter the authentication method(s) that administrators must use to log on to the Security Console.  For example, RSA_Password/LDAP_Password/SecurID_Native, as shown here:
